Stockholm, December 6th
Blykalla welcomes Federico Barbano to the System Engineering team. Federico holds an MSc. in Energy Engineering from the University of Pisa, where his focus during the latter years and thesis revolved around the nuclear fusion field. Additionally, he earned a postgraduate certificate in Industrial Safety from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
His professional experience spans across diverse sectors including nuclear, maritime, and renewable energy, initially as a Process and Mechanical Engineer. More recently, he served as a Commissioning Engineer for auxiliary systems at the Olkiluoto EPR facility. Subsequently, he transitioned to the maritime industry, assuming the role of a Technical Expert and Project Engineer, specializing in LNG plants on Very Large Container Vessels and LNG bunkering vessels.
At Blykalla, Federico is excited about joining a dynamic company known for its technical expertise and innovative culture and contributing to our mission of decarbonizing the world. He is eager to apply his engineering skills and experience in process and mechanical engineering as a System Engineer, focusing on turning conceptual designs into practical solutions. The prospect of contributing to an initiative aimed at decarbonizing the world, starting from nearly a blank canvas, excites him. He aspires to leverage his blend of engineering expertise and practical experience in process and mechanical fields as a System Engineer. Collaborating with the team, he aims to translate conceptual designs into tangible and practical solutions, facilitating the realization of the company's innovations.
