A Night to Recharge: Celebrating the Swedish Nuclear Industry

Blykalla recently participated in the Almedalen Week, the world’s largest meeting place for discussing democratic and societal issues. Among other things, the week focuses largely on solving the greatest challenge of our time - climate change - and therefore it hosts many relevant events and discussions around the use and development of clean energy.

This year, on June 25th, Blykalla hosted Almedalen’s first ever SMR event. We gathered politicians, industry representatives, academic representatives, and other experts for a celebration of the progress that has been made in the nuclear power industry, with a specific focus on SMRs. The advancements, such as changed laws and ongoing policy developments, as well as political, societal and investor support, represent significant milestones in our journey towards a sustainable and efficient energy future.

The evening was a well-deserved break for a dedicated group of individuals who work tirelessly to ensure the safety, efficiency, and innovation within our industry. It was a chance to step back, enjoy the company of colleagues, and appreciate the achievements that have been made. We are already looking forward to next year’s event, where we can continue to celebrate our collective efforts and look forward to even greater achievements as we move toward a future of clean energy.
