The Impact 100 list, now in its third year, has seen a substantial increase in nominations – from 500 in its inaugural year to 1,200 this year. Sara Kappelmark, co-CEO of Norrsken Foundation, emphasizes the significance of this growth:
"This year's list showcases the diversity among impact companies worldwide and the innovative power we have in Sweden. I recently saw statistics from the database company Dealroom showing that Sweden has 38 times more impact startups per capita than the global average."

"We focus on companies that have not yet entered the rapid scaling phase. Typically, these are companies that have completed up to Series A funding. Our aim is to spotlight entrepreneurs at the beginning of their journey."
Criteria for the Impact 100 List
To qualify for the Impact 100 list, companies must meet several key criteria:
1. Be impact-driven businesses aiming to create measurable, positive, and large-scale impact aligned with one or more of the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
2. Have scalable business models that leverage innovation or technology to grow rapidly and reach a large market.
3. Have launched a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and/or secured seed or Series A funding.
4. Be privately owned companies in an early growth stage, not having raised Series C funding or beyond.
