We are excited to announce that David Saldarriaga has joined Blykalla as a Process Engineer.
David comes to us with a rich background in sustainable energy and mechanical engineering. He holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad EAFIT. David’s career spans several roles where he has consistently demonstrated his expertise and leadership in the energy sector.
Most recently, David served as a Lead General Engineer at WSP, where he played a key role in energy projects, contributing to process design and technical analysis. Before that, he was a Lab Team Lead and Lab Engineer at Phoenix BioPower AB, managing interdisciplinary teams and engineering high-pressure biomass test rigs. Earlier in his career, David founded and led Azul Ingeniería S.A.S., focusing on the design and implementation of CNG stations.
David is driven by his passion for challenges, motivation, and continuous learning, which makes Blykalla the perfect fit for him. His interest in thermal challenges and power generation aligns closely with Blykalla's focus. David is eager to explore tools that assess secondary thermal cycles, balancing flexibility with efficiency and performance.
Looking ahead, David is excited to collaborate with our talented team and contribute to advancing our technology. He is eager to generate innovative ideas, explore new opportunities, and make meaningful contributions while solving for the world's biggest challenge that is clean baseload energy.
